Pattersons Trade Supplies
Pattersons Trade Supplies is a family-run business that has been supplying cleaning, hygiene, catering and PPE products to the trade since 1969. When it came time to modernise our online store and give our trade customers a faster, clearer way to order, we turned to The Digital Hub.
The Digital Hub designed and built the new pattersons.co.uk from the ground up. That meant rethinking the whole customer journey — from browsing a catalogue of over 20,000 products, through negotiated account pricing and bulk order pads, right through to checkout, payment and fulfilment. They integrated the store with our warehouse and supplier systems, including a live connection to HotelWare for stock availability and resupply ordering, and a card payments gateway for both trade accounts and guest customers.
What set The Digital Hub apart was their understanding of trade and B2B commerce. Pattersons isn't a simple retail shop — our customers have negotiated price lists, order pads they build up over time, approval workflows, credit accounts and complex fulfilment rules that mix our own warehouse stock with supplier resupply. The Digital Hub built ecommerce solutions that handle all of that without getting in the customer's way, so placing an order is as straightforward for a buyer as it is on any consumer website.
Beyond the build itself, The Digital Hub supports the site with an AI concierge — helping us generate product copy at scale, answer customer questions, and keep the catalogue accurate and up to date across thousands of lines. They continue to develop the store as we grow, adding new brands, new supplier feeds and new features while keeping everything fast, reliable and easy to use.
